About

The National Association of Moroccan Rural Geographers — ANAGERM (in Arabic: الجمعية الوطنية لجغرافيي الأرياف المغاربة — جوجام) is a scholarly association founded on 11 June 2022 at its constitutive assembly held at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences of Ben M'Sik, Hassan II University, Casablanca.

Endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy, the association is governed by Dahir No. 1-58-376 of 15 November 1958 on the right of association, as amended and supplemented by Law 75.00.

Our mission

ANAGERM brings together academics, researchers and practitioners around the scientific, methodological and applied challenges of the geography of Moroccan rural areas. It contributes to the analysis of the environmental, social, economic and territorial transformations affecting the Kingdom's countryside, and to shaping integrated, sustainable development approaches.
